Takht-i Sulaiman (different spellings, e.g. Takht-e Soleyman) is one of the fascinating excavation sites in Iran and is also closely linked to German archaeology (DAI, Tehran Department).
The photos were taken during a short visit in 2015; a special feature are some photos that Hermann Meier took in 1958 when he was working on the excavation as a young man.
